Dr Marisa Ioppolo-Armanios
Marisa is co-founder and Managing Director at Gold Standard Refining.
She has 25 years of experience in metal refining and research in the resources sector with a PhD in chemistry. Throughout that time she has developed extensive business knowledge by managing projects and completing an MBA.
She has a passion for the metals and gems used in the jewellery industry and previously owned a jewellery design hobby business for over a decade.
Her unique blend of knowledge, interest and passion provided a natural path that lead to the inception of Gold Standard Refining which has allowed her to bring together all these facets.
Dr Carim Armanios
Carim is co-founder, Director and Secretary at Gold Standard Refining.
He brings with him 25 years of experience in the mining sector with a focus on metal refining, research and development and environmental management.
He holds a first-class honours degree in Applied Chemistry from Curtin University of Technology and a Doctorate (PhD) in Petroleum Geochemistry from the same institution. He later completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Western Australia (UWA).
